It is a courtship story with ups and downs but has a joyous ending as the wedding bells ring. The simple original tune has been given a swaying accompaniment which reflects the moods of the verses. There is a flowing  ‘a capella’ section in the middle. The Altos have two bars (only) of divisi in some backing ‘ooohs’.
