Each movement represents a state of a friendship, from getting to know someone, becoming closer and closer, to arguments, apologies, and both satisfactory and unsatisfactory conclusions. Despite the detailed performance markings, this piece should be openly interpreted and suitably adapted to the performer's preferences because as much as this piece comes from the composer's mind, it is up to the performer to make it part of him/her as well.
