From an opening on suspended bells and handchimes, the tune DOMINUS REGIT ME is set over a simple eighth note accompaniment with occasional unexpected harmonies before the ST. COLUMBA tune is introduced with a countermelody in the bass. A final triumphant verse with bold, sometimes chromatic harmonies, rounds out the piece before returning to the gentle feeling of the opening. A perfect choice for worship throughout the church year.
