Often, the bridal couple would choose "Uncle Harry" or "Aunt Susie" to sing the Malotte version, which is not singable by the average person. At one of the most recent weddings I played, the vocalist blew 3 notes together on a borrowed pitch pipe! My first thought…. "We’re in trouble now…" I wrote this version to fill the need for a beautiful and singable Lord’s Prayer. This can also be very effective at a slower tempo.
