UPC: 672405010344. Key: D minor. English. Ashley Dame. This original piece describes countries born of the Viking Age and is packed with wild Norse inspiration. For ages, tiny islands in the North Atlantic Ocean persisted as desolate lands, isolated from humankind. As brave mariners ventured further north, creeping closer toward the Arctic Circle, new life and fresh lands would become more plentiful. These settlers would have to defend and fight to keep these properties, as Vikings sought to expand their own territories. Sieges of settled harbor towns were soon underway and any new settlements were obtainable for anyone willing to battle for rights. INSTRUCTIONAL PURPOSES and RANGES: This piece is written specifically to provide a comfortable tessitura for Unchanged, Stage I, and Stage II emerging male voices. Range: Part I Range: Part II Range: Part III Range: Part III *(Optional Notes) Unchanged Stage I Stage II Unchanged Each line of verse lends itself to independent performance and can be executed with character in mind. As the piece becomes more familiar, the instructor may opt to add dynamics to each line. This original piece describes countries born of the Viking Age and is packed with wild Norse inspiration.
