This is the setting of The Old Pier. The relaxed mood of this piece is conveyed through a flowing left-hand pattern and an easy-going right-hand melody that uses the interval of a sixth. Amidst the gentle flow are some dramatic 32nd note passages that again give way to the calming and peaceful theme.
