The Point of No Return was written in the summer of 2017 for flute and was premiered at a staff recital at Interlochen Center for the Arts with Lilah Senibaldi and Clay Towery. This piece was inspired by classical and romantic era composers such as Franz Schubert and Ludwig von Beethoven, and was meant to mimic the traditional “exposition-transition-development-recapitulation” form seen in larger works of that era.
