This unpublished march could have been called “Homage to Nevin and Foster”, “Homage to Pittsburgh”, or “The Belle of Pittsburgh”.It is one of Sousa’s more unusual works, but highly inventive. His combination of themes is well executed and builds throughout to a triumphant conclusion.
