All of the great characteristics of Bill's music are here ....unison lines, counterpoint, simplicity, a great theme, and a series of swinging, roaring ensembles (without high trumpet parts). Certainly this is a great concert piece, but it is also a practical piece, great for warming up a band ...no demanding ranges, but lots of listening challenges.
