Anyone learning about his relatively shortlife must also add a tribute to his resolve and courage.The Piano Concerto No. 12 in A was written in the autumn of 1782 in Vienna. The Andantehas the flawless beauty of Mozart's slower music – its irresistible combination of musicalelements - but at a strict andante tempo the 32nd notes are very difficult to play and melody islost, so I have marked it Lento.Similarly the famous Andante ('Elvira Madigan') from the Piano Concerto No. 21 in C, writtenin 1785, is better played at a relaxed tempo. If the 16th notes do note sound clearly the pieceshould be slowed until they do. Again this is vintage Mozart; accessible, intricate and deep.Keys of both pieces have been changed to suit guitar.
