It was popular during the 1920s as a religious tune, and became a gospel hit in the late 1930s for Sister Rosetta Tharpe.  A more secular version was released in the early 1950s.  It is a simple chord progression, but increases in speed with each verse.  It is a real toe-tapper and has an element of fun with the choral 'train horns' and sense of fun.
