ISBN 9790302110620.Cecile Chaminade was the first female composer to win the Ordre national de la Legion d'honneur, the highest decoration in France. These Three Pieces by Cecile Chaminade were originally written for solo piano around the turn of the twentieth century. Quite difficult to perform on the piano, they lend themselves very well to a flute accompanied by piano. In addition to making an excellent suite, each of the pieces works just as well on its own.
