I composed it under the impression of the organ works of Bach, Buxtehude and Johann Peter Kellner. Since the harmonies became more colourful after the Baroque period, I have included a lot of chromaticism in the extended pedal solo. The pedal solo alone can also be understood as a pedal exercise.I have attached a musical example in which I play the composition on the organ of the Petrikirche in Erfurt (Thuringia).
