About this arrangement

SATB chorus a cappella SKU: CJ.A110410053 Composed by Christopher GIBERT. XXIst century. 21st century, secular. Octavo. Editions a Coeur Joie #A110410053. Published by Editions a Coeur Joie (CJ.A110410053). <span style="font-family:" Georgia, serif; font-size: 8pt;><span style="font-weight:" bold; font-size: 8pt;> Discover Le Tombeau de Clémence Isaure harmonized by Christopher Gibert: When Rolandas Muleika, conductor of the IsdaTus choir, commissioned me to write this piece, I wanted to transcribe through harmony and melody the atmospheres and scents of the pink city. Starting from the translation of an Occitan poem from the Académie des Jeux Floraux de Toulouse (14th century?), the idea of a harmony rich in colour immediately imposed itself, like an echo to the rays of sparkling suns that flood the city when spring awakens. This tomb of Clémence Isaure, the city's first female poetess, is therefore a tribute to the letters and heritage that make up the richness of this place, between mountains and seas; a place nestling along the Garonne where it is good to live and contemplate. (Christopher GIBERT) <span style="text-decoration-line:" underline; font-size: 8pt;> About Christopher Gibert : After having studied organ, piano, analysis and writing at the Conservatories of Toulouse and Boulogne-Billancourt, Christopher Gibert obtained two First Prizes with honours in choral conducting and musical analysis. In 2013 he founded the Dulci Jubilo Chamber Choir in Toulouse and in 2016 the baroque ensemble La Pellegrina. With these ensembles, he has conducted numerous productions on a national scale. Duration: about 6 minutes
