Traditional.These three Spanish carols were a special project  with the students in my show choir, most of whom are Hispanic and bilingual. We decided, as a group, which carols to arrange and the students spent time researching translations, recognizing the difference between Mexican and Castilian Spanish, and navigating any sections that didn’t quite work or sound like the song they would sing with their families in their living rooms. Choices were made regarding the structure of this set of songs such as limiting verses in order to “get the flavor” of each song without performing the entire set of lyrics.We hope you enjoy learning and performing one or all of them as much as we enjoyed the collaborative act of arranging them!
