Mein Trio gliedert sich in drei Sätze: Der erste Satz besteht aus ununterbrochenen, gleichzeitig (aber auf verschiedenen Zeitebenen ablaufenden monochromen Linien, die einen hohen Grad gegenseitiger Entsprechungen aufweisen, aber nie identisch werden: Schattenformen, Verezrrung der Konturen wie im Hohlspiegel, Unschärfen, gleichzeitig bewegliche und unbewegliche Darstellung eines Objekts. Neben dem komplexen, dichten Klangbild des 1. Satzes wirkt der 2. Satz sehr gelöst, durchsichtig, farbig. Er besteht aus neun Teilen, die frei aneinandergefügt werden können. Die endgültige Gestalt sowohl der Gesamtform wie auch der Details wird von den Interpreten erst während der Aufführung bestimmt. Der zweiteilige Schluß-Satz hat die Funktion eines Epilogs: Nachklang, dunkle Farben, Erinnerung, Auflösung… -Heinz Holliger.
