Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1004156 Composed by Matthew Scott Phillips. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 5 pages. Matthew Scott Phillips #6213017. Published by Matthew Scott Phillips (A0.1004156). Program Notes: In 2010 I composed a work for solo piano entitled, Trio for Piano Alone. The work was texturally, and philosophically complex, attempting to analogize the component parts of a personality, which might seem on the surface to be an indivisible whole. With this work, I have revisited my previous one, and "recomposed" it. This new work is in a radically different, and distinctly more minimal style. Having explored the great complexity of personality in the first one, I am here exploring that very one-ness that is either the result of all that complexity or (as I suspect) the truth of our being despite it.
