Twinkling Tunes are two original Christmas songs written especially for children and which, thanks to their flexible instrumentation, can be played by any wind band. Lichtjes van Kerstmis (Christmas Lights) is about people gathering together around the Christmas tree. The Lied der Koningen (Song of Kings) brings the story of the Magi to life. The vocal part (with Dutch text) is optional and can be performed either solo or by a children’s choir, but even without vocals, this composition is sure to create a merry Christmas mood.‘Twinkling Tunes’ zijn 2 liederen in de kerstsfeer, die speciaal geschreven werden voor kinderen. De ‘Lichtjes van Kerstmis’ verhaalt over het gezellig samenzijn rond de kerstboom. Het ‘Lied der Koningen’ brengt het originele verhaalvan de drie wijzen weer tot leven.Om de eenvoud van de originele liederen te bewaren maakte de componist de instrumentale zetting bewust speelbaar voor elk orkest. De ad libitum zangpartij kan solo of door kinderkoor vertolktworden, maar ook zonder kinderstemmen roept deze muziek al heel wat gezellige kerstsfeer op.Twinkling Tunes sind zwei originale weihnachtliche Lieder, die speziell für Kinder geschrieben wurden und dank ihrer Instrumentierung von jedem Blasorchester gespielt werden können. Lichtjes van Kerstmis handelt vom geselligen Beisammensein rund um den Christbaum. Das Lied der Koningen erweckt die Geschichte der Heiligen Drei Könige zum Leben. Die Gesangsstimme (mit niederländischem Text) ist optional und kann solo oder von einem Kinderchor aufgeführt werden, aber auch ohne Gesang sorgt dieser Titel garantiert für fröhliche Weihnachtsstimmung.Twinkling Tunes rassemble deux chants qui s’inscrivent dans la pure tradition de Noël, composés spécialement pour les enfants. Le premier, Lights of Christmas (Lumières de Noël) raconte une soirée agréable autour du sapin de Noël, alors que Song of the Kings (La chanson des Rois), remet au go t du jour l’histoire originale des trois Rois Mages. Afin de préserver la simplicité des mélodies originelles, le compositeur a fait en sorte que l’arrangement instrumental puisse être joué par tout orchestre. La partie chantée ad libitum (textes en néerlandais) peut être interprétée en solo ou par un choeur d’enfants.
