These fanfares are palindromes and canons.  When played backwards, Fanfare I (Move it Forward) becomes Fanfare II (Take it Back).  Each fanfare can be played as a separate piece.  One suggestion for performance would be to have Fanfare I announce the beginning of a concert or recital and then use Fanfare II to announce the second half of the concert, following intermission.
