Um dia de Fevereiro is a piece written for solo guitar, composed in February 2023 at the request of the great Brazilian guitarist Celso Faria, the piece will be premiered in the second half of the same year by Celso himself. The melodic motif was inspired by the first two bars of the famous work A November Day by the great Cuban composer and conductor Leo Brower. Part A is all inspired by this small melodic motif, after this first part, the work enters into a kind of exercise that goes from the highest part to the lowest (first fret of the instrument). Theme A is reexposed, after this resumption, we enter part C, more rhythmic and cheerful, with touches of Brazilianness in the rhythm of Choro (Brazilian Tango) as it was said in the 1930s. The work returns to the theme A and reaches its Final.
