This variation (appropriate for prelude offertory, or even funeral) calls upon a counter-melody from the Evening Prayer from Humperdinck's "Hansel and Gretel". This arrangement is dedicated to the memory and service to our nation of Captain Eduguardo Martin Coppola (1919-2022). A final stanza hymn setting with optional short and long interludes is also available (StA H00156), as is a short variation appropriate for a postlude (StA OV00121).
