This is a set of three variations on the familiar hymn tune, "Nun danket alle Gott."  The first variation is presented in mixed meter with rhythmic alterations from the original tune.  The second variation is a simple arrangement with no metric variations.  The third variation is a bold statement, using mixed meter and based on the rhythm of the original tune as written by Johann Crüger.  The audio example includes the first two variations.
