Waltz Moderato is a very easy composition for elementary string students.  This piece contains very simple rhythms using half notes, dotted half notes and quarter notes and will show that music does not have to be difficult to sound good and be enjoyable. This piece also presents the opportunity to teach your students about D.S. al Coda. You will find this composition keeps all instruments in 1st position and utilizes three part harmony that benefits ensembles lacking adequate instrumentation.  Viola and 2nd violin are doubled as are cello and contrabass.
