Guitar, Solo Guitar - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1483108 Composed by Frederic Chopin. Arranged by Brian Streckfus. This edition: audio, pdf, streaming. Contemporary, Instructional, Romantic Period. Individual part. 9 pages. Brian Streckfus #1060308. Published by Brian Streckfus (A0.1483108). Key: E minor (original is in A minor) Pages: 9 (6 +3) (You get two versions with and without TAB, so this is a good deal! Just be careful of printer settings!) Features: 1. Arranged for guitar instead of piano 2. Slurs added 3. Composer indications added 4. Fingerings added and other details added. 5. Chord names added 6. Harmonies added idiomatic to guitar 7. Unisons added to make voicings more magical sounding 8. Tablature version Tips: 1. The numbers are truely fingering numbers, not fret numbers. This can be confusing if you not used to it. 2. 4 measure phrases are really common. 4 measures per system is for a reason, not just coincidence. 3. Some notes are on the same string for a while just so you can slide and vibrato to get the music to sound more operatic. 4. Notes where you see stems going in both directions are truely unisons (most likely fret 5 and then fret 0 on a thinner string). This makes the voicings sound quite magical and dreamy. 5. Having chord names for classical music is unique and sets my arrangements apart. There are chords that are impractical to name. However, it is so useful, I'm suprised more publishers don't do it this way. Not only does it help with sight-reading and improvisation, but it also helps with clearly seeing the goal of the measure. That way when I see "B7", I can think about the best way a guitarist can do it, not a pianist. 6. The coda comes off as roughly a gigantic V7 (B7) chord to point back to E minor. This technique is called "standing on the dominant". To Do: 1. More fingerings? 2. More harmony?
