Bring out the rich and dark sonority of the G string in the violins. The celli and basses take over the melody at m. 27, which acts like a B section to the main melody. The pizzicato in the upper strings should provide some rhythmic energy to the flowing arco playing of the lower strings. The music should grow slightly at m.35 as more harmony and a higher tessitura is introduced.
