The piece celebrates the strength of synergy and collaboration when all parties join together toward a common goal.One voice can make a difference,Two can make a change.Many voices start a movement,Moving toward a brighter day.When our voices join together,Different parts singing just one song. Moving all in one direction,All together, we are strong.When performing We Are Strong, it is important that part independence and energy be maintained throughout the piece. Many options are also available at the directors discretion. Measures 5–12 may be repeated with each part taking two measures each. Measures 32–38, second time may be done a cappella. Use creativity with regards to soloists. Feel free to use as many, or as few, as works best for the needs of your ensemble. After all voices are layered. A drum can be added to enhance the texture as well.About the ComposerReginal Wright is a composer, conductor, and educator who creates works in collaboration with choirs and music educators. As an educator, Reginal has earned many awards over the span of his over twenty-year career. Reginal has performed throughout Europe and the United States. As a conductor, he is a sought-after clinician in both middle and high school. As a composer, Reginal’s works have been commissioned by middle school, high school, college, and professional choirs. His works have been performed by All-State Choirs and invited convention choirs. His Invictus was performed in the 2021 ACDA National Convention and by the 2022 Texas All-State Tenor-Bass Choir. Reginal’s works are published by and distributed through BriLee, Carl Fischer, Graphite, Hal Leonard, Oxford University Press, Santa Barbara Music Publishing, Walton, and his own publishing company, Reginal Wright Music.
