UPC: 822424001056. 9 x 12 inches.Commissioned to commemorate its 20th anniversary season, this work was written for the Nebraska Wind Symphony, Omahas community band, in 1997. It is in traditional overture form, with a bold introductory theme in the horns answered by the trumpets. The material that follows presents the main theme in solo voices followed by the entire band. Contrasting material follows, leading to a recapitulation and eventually to a jubilant coda. While not intentionally programmatic, the title of the work does reflect the bands geographic location.
