SATB Choir, Descant, optional cantor, assembly, organ accompaniment SKU: GI.G-008632 Psalm 122/Concertato on Aurelia. Composed by Lynn M. Trapp. Easter 5 Year B, Easter 4 Year B, Advent 1 Year A. Sacred. Octavo. GIA Publications #008632. Published by GIA Publications (GI.G-008632). UPC: 641151086323.This composition, a good processional piece, combines a responsorial psalm and a hymn concertato. If desired, each may be performed separately, in which case the psalm ends at measure 100. For use without the psalm, the hymn introduction may begin with the last count of measure 104. While it was written for SATB choir, assembly, brass quartet, and organ, it may be performed with brass and/or choir as optional. In the latter case, a cantor may sing the soprano meloy (except for measures 50-54 where the tenor/bass part should be used) with the organ playing the choral harmony (printed as cue notes) as needed. For the verses of "The Church's One Foundation," the composer suggests: Verse 1 - SATB, Verse 2 - unison with trumpet I only and organ, Verse 3 - SATB with organ, Verse 4 - choir alone, or by all with the assembly singing the melody, with organ, Verse 5 - all in unison with choir sporanos on the descant, with brass and organ.
