At the title implies, this exceptional young band composition includes variations on a lovely slow and eexpressive opening theme. A faster sections follows, carrying with it ideas from the opening before moving on to some fresh sounding flute soli work in 3/4. The final section is quite exciting and provides a brilliant conclusion. Technically within the capabilities of young mid-level bands and a outstanding choice for concert or contest!
