Flute, Oboe, Clarinet SKU: IG.CMF211 Composed by Ernest Brandon. Score and Parts. Imagine Music Publishing #CMF211. Published by Imagine Music Publishing (IG.CMF211). 9 x 12 inches. The Queens's English is a concert march inspired by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. The piece starts out in ¾ time as the chimes pay tribute to London's Big Ben. As the chimes fade there are a couple of seconds of silence before the light hearted march ( in 4/4 ) begins. Slower than the standard march tempo of 120 bpm, this march reflects the majestic and stately manner of England's long reigning monarch. Utilizing a fully instrumented concert band, The Queens's English includes a full battery of six percussion and two mallet players. This song is for a high school level band or an advanced middle school group.
