However, a number of years ago, it struck me that whilst one of the most famous carols in existence - 'Silent Night' - was included, the arrangement was not a simple one, and certainly not one that an audience could join in with, should they wish.I therefore wrote my own, simple harmonisation of 'Silent Night' for 4 part SATB choir. The part writing is straight forward and the tune is unchanged.  It can therefore be sung by an audience if desired whilst the choir add the harmony. It can be sung by a choir of any ability, and as each verse uses the same harmony, can be taught by rote if necessary.The piano part can be used, or it can be sung unaccompanied.
