The strong beginning of the first movement "Allegro" places the listener in the middle of a dramatic event with syncopated chords, which, after a quiet dolce middle section, leads to an energetic end. The melancholic 2nd movement "Allegro assai" is repeatedly colored by moving 32nd notes and ends thoughtfully in pianissimo.
